The Medical Clinic Opens
The Pere Albert Memorial Medical Clinic of Cherident opened June 2006 to great excitement in the community. Within the first two days, the staff had seen over 200 patients.

After a day of church services and celebration in the community, the Jean-Wilfrid Albert Medical Clinic opened on Tuesday, June 13, 2006. At the end of this day, this email from clinic administrator Jean Pierre Jackson best conveys "opening day success:"
HI HHP,
VERY VERY HAPPY TO GIVE YOU THIS INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPENING AND THE FIRST DAY OF WORKING. IT WAS VERY NICE AND I HAVE THE VIDEO TAPE, IF YOU WANT IT, TELL ME TO SEND IT TO YOU....
FOR THE FIRST DAY OF WORKING WE RECEIVED 58 PERSONS AND THEY ARE VERY HAPPY FOR THE SERVICE OFFERED AND WE WILL WORK VERY HARD SO THAT THE SEVICE MAY BE MORE PERFECT.
